{"id":3289,"date":"2020-12-21T14:54:37","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T11:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.orgbalt.eu\/?page_id=3289"},"modified":"2021-01-21T10:17:16","modified_gmt":"2021-01-21T07:17:16","slug":"demo-site-lvc307","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.orgbalt.eu\/?page_id=3289","title":{"rendered":"Demo site LVC307"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>APPLICATION OF WOOD ASH AFTER COMMERCIAL THINNING IN SPRUCE STANDS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Potential benefits of wood ash application in forest on organic soils:&nbsp;\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>increased CO2\u00a0removals in living biomass, dead wood, soil, litter and\u00a0harvested wood products due to improved growth conditions and additional\u00a0increment in living biomass.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The LIFE\u00a0OrgBalt\u00a0project aims to implement a wide range of innovative organic soil management measures to demonstrate how these areas can be managed sustainably,\u00a0taking into account\u00a0economic, social\u00a0and climate aspects. 16 project demonstration sites have been established in Latvia and Finland.
