{"id":3308,"date":"2020-12-21T15:08:24","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T12:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.orgbalt.eu\/?page_id=3308"},"modified":"2021-01-21T10:40:51","modified_gmt":"2021-01-21T07:40:51","slug":"demo-site-lvc310","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.orgbalt.eu\/?page_id=3308","title":{"rendered":"Demo site LVC310"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FAST GROWING SPECIES IN RIPARIAN BUFFER ZONES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Potential benefits of fast-growing species in riparian buffer zones:&nbsp;&nbsp;\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>increased CO2\u00a0removals in living biomass and soil;\u200b<\/li><li>replacement effect of woody and herbaceous biofuel and harvested\u00a0wood products;\u200b<\/li><li>avoided nutrients leakage from farmlands.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The LIFE\u00a0OrgBalt\u00a0project aims to implement a wide range of innovative organic soil management measures to demonstrate how these areas can be managed sustainably,\u00a0taking into account\u00a0economic, social\u00a0and climate aspects. 16 project demonstration sites have been established in Latvia and Finland.
