{"id":3313,"date":"2020-12-21T15:11:21","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T12:11:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.orgbalt.eu\/?page_id=3313"},"modified":"2021-02-03T18:58:54","modified_gmt":"2021-02-03T15:58:54","slug":"demo-site-lvc301","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.orgbalt.eu\/?page_id=3313","title":{"rendered":"Demo site LVC301"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>CONVERSION OF CROPLAND USED FOR CEREAL PRODUCTION INTO GRASSLAND CONSIDERING PERIODIC PLOUGHING<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Potential benefits of cropland conversion to grassland:&nbsp; \u00fcreduced GHG emissions from soil; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>increased carbon stock in soil and below-ground biomass; \u00fcreduced risks of nutrient leaching and soil erosion.  <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The LIFE OrgBalt project aims to implement a wide range of innovative organic soil management measures to demonstrate how these areas can be managed sustainably, taking into account economic, social and climate aspects. 16 project demonstration sites have been established in Latvia and Finland.
