LIFE OrgBalt kick-off meeting held in Latvia

On October 24-25, 2019, in Riga, Latvia, the kick-off meeting of the LIFE OrgBalt project “Demonstration of climate change mitigation potential of nutrients rich organic soils in Baltic States and Finland” (LIFE18 CCM/LV/001158) gathered 8 project partners from 5 countries – Latvian State Forest Research Institute “Silava”, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Latvia, Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, University of Tartu, Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE), Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, association “Baltic Coasts” and Michael Succow Foundation to discuss in detail the objectives and implementation of the LIFE OrgBalt.

The project has received funding from the LIFE Programme of the European Union and the State Regional Development Agency of Latvia and will be implemented from 2019 till 2023.
